Please note that arrangements are subject to change depending on the current Coronavirus guidance.
The main entry point into our Senior School is for the 11+ (Year 7), although students are welcome to join us in Prep and other Senior School year groups at any point during the academic year as we run a rolling admissions system.
Prospective Senior students wishing to join Year 7 for intake the following academic year, are invited to sit one of our entrance assessments which take place every year in November and March, however, assessments can be arranged at any point throughout the year.
The entrance assessment comprises of papers in English, Mathematics, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning skills. No specific coaching is necessary for these tests. Our school is non-selective and we accept children of all academic abilities, however the entrance assessments allows us to ensure that we have the right support available to your child.
Please contact Louise Lloyd who will happily talk you through the process; otherwise please see the summary below as to how the process works:
An appointment will be made for you to have a chat with our Headteacher Mrs Harrison, either in person or virtually, depending on the guidelines at the time. Appropriate paperwork will be sent to you for completion prior to the Entrance Assessment taking place in November and then we invite potential pupils to spend the day with us in November. The morning will consist of a series of tests followed by lunch and activities in the afternoon; results are gathered and evaluated and offers are made before the beginning of December. All relevant Coronavirus guidance will be followed. Pupils wishing to apply for scholarships will be advised of the process nearer the time.
