Year 8 Geographers have worked in groups to plan an investigation into the microclimate of the school.  They selected four sites within the school grounds including the new rooftop classroom! They collected data such as; temperature, wind speed, wind direction and shade. They enjoyed using the anemometer, thermometer, compass and bubbles to collect the data.  The students will use this data to help them to decide where the best sites would be for certain outside items and will present their conclusions in a report.  Mrs Longmore is very impressed with the student’s approach to the task and looks forward to seeing the completed investigation reports.
