Today, Pre-school completed many fun activities and I really enjoyed joining in. I got a bit messy with some shaving foam while the children were mark making. The children painted some beautiful Van Gogh Starry Night pictures, fished 2D shapes from the water tray and found letters in the sand.
One of the children even put me on top of a cotton reel tower he was creating.

Pre-school took me to their Music lesson with Mrs Dickson. I enjoyed listening to them sing many Nursery Rhymes. I also had a chance to play outside on their wonderful playground that overlooks the canal.
In the afternoon, I went to PE with the children where Miss Capper and the children completed a mini obstacle course; it was lots of fun.

I watched as Pre-school had their Science morning. They completed a wide range of scientific experiments and they were brilliant at using their new knowledge to work out results. They experimented using an erupting volcano, skittles mixed with water and flowers mixed with coloured water.
The children took me to lunch with them too – it smelt delicious.

Pre-school took me to the Prep Celebration assembly. I sat and watched whilst the children collected their awards. I then joined the children in a variety of activities based on strengthening their fine motor skills. They completed some cutting, cutlery control and mark making.
In the afternoon, I went to St Dominic’s church and the children impressed me with their knowledge of the different areas of the church. We listened to a Bible story and completed some stained glass window colouring.

I have had a wonderful week with the Pre-school children and staff. They have looked after me really well and taught me a lot.
