St. Dominic's hosted the second ISA Midlands Table Tennis Tournament in January with the addition of the U13 age groups this year.

Our boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience and came away with two team gold medals and three individual gold medals.

In the U13 team competitions, we had two boys teams competing and one girls team. Matches consisted of four singles games played in rank order.

The girls team consisting of Holly, Daisy, Aoife and Iris took the team gold medals with Holly then going on to take the U13 girls individual tournament title, beating Aoife in the final,

The U11 girls team also took the team gold. Well done to Joyella, Megan, Lola and Amelie. Megan went on to pip Joyella to the individual gold medal.

In the U11 boys individual tournament, Joseph worked his way through the sections, quarters and semis, finishing as Midlands Champion, playing a super, controlled, attacking style in beating an opponent from Old Vicarage School, Derby 2-0 in the final.

The U11 boys team reached the semi-final stage before being beaten by Highclare, Edgbaston who went on to beat Heathfield, Kidderminster in the boys team final.

In the U13 boys individual tournament, Joe took a very good third place.

Congratulations to all our table tennis players!
