We are hosting a special event to mark the official opening of our new multi-million-pound teaching block.
The Grand Opening of the new teaching block will be held on Saturday, February 29, from 11.00 am – 2.00 pm, and marks the completion of a major programme of development at the school.
Parents, former staff and pupils are being invited to attend the Grand Opening event, along with representatives from local businesses and members of the public.
The event will provide visitors with the opportunity to take a tour of the new building, meet the School’s Headteacher, staff and pupils, and learn more about the school’s latest developments. There will also be a range of fun activities for families to enjoy on the day, including interactive arts and crafts, science and IT activities, alongside dance and drama performances.
An official opening ceremony will be performed by special guest Lieutenant Danielle Welch, a former pupil at the school and Royal Navy Pilot, who became the very first and last woman to become a Royal Navy ab-initio Lynx pilot. Danielle was recently featured in the ITV’ series ‘The Real Top Gun’.
Rebecca Harrison, Headteacher at St. Dominic’s Priory School, said: “After months of hard work, we are really excited to officially unveil our new teaching block.
“The new facilities will not only enhance the education and experiences of our current students, but also those who attend the school for many years to come.”
The new teaching block accommodates 18 classrooms, a rooftop classroom, state-of-the art science laboratories and specialist art, music, performing arts and drama studios.
