On Friday 22nd November, the two children from each year group in the prep with the most house points were lucky enough to go to Bishops Offley Christmas Tree Farm to choose our school’s Christmas Trees.

Our job was to be Christmas tree taggers for the morning. We were going to choose three Christmas trees.

We travelled on the school minibus to the Christmas tree farm with Mrs Hesp and Miss Hill. There was lots of chat and excitement on the bus and we all sang Christmas songs!

Whilst at the tree farm we had a tractor/trailer ride and helped to choose which three Christmas trees to tag and also learned all about what happens on the tree farm. Mr. Stanhope let us watch him cutting down our 11ft Christmas tree for the Priory Hall. Our other two trees were going to be cut down later that day.

The chosen Christmas trees were then delivered to our school for us to decorate.

FUN FACT - there are approximately 18,000 Christmas trees on the farm.
