On Monday 7th October, Year 9 enjoyed a visit to Cannock Chase. They had a rather muddy walk to the stepping stones area of the brook, crossed the stepping stones and had a picnic lunch.

Following lunch, the students worked in groups to collect primary data for their river investigation. They used field study equipment to measure the characteristics of the brook such as the; width, depth, velocity and bedload. They had a great experience and developed their Physical Geography data collection skills.
