On Wednesday 5th June our Year 10 History students visited Kenilworth Castle in Warwickshire. As part of their History Around Us module, the students have to visit a historical site and examine its physical remains. They then use this knowledge to form an enquiry in their exam. We were lucky enough to enjoy a sunny day at Kenilworth Castle, exploring the ruins of this spectacular site.

The students created a movie on their experience – explaining who the key individuals associated with Kenilworth were and why they are so important to its development.

School Update

St. Dominic’s Priory School is currently open for all children in Pre-school, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 in addition to children of key workers across all years.

For those children who remain at home, the full curriculum is being taught daily by teachers via Microsoft Teams. Children can communicate with teachers and friends during lesson time and can download and submit their work online helping them to continue to be motivated and remain focused.

We have been conducting virtual tours, meetings and online lesson experiences for parents and children considering St. Dominic’s Priory School for their children and have places available across a number of year groups for September 2020.

We have received an unprecedented number of admissions in Year 9 for September 2020 and as a result have added an additional form class to accommodate. As a result we now have places available for Year 9 from September 2020.
