As part of Pre-school's 'Under the Sea' topic, the children have been learning all about fish.

A group of children walked to Morrisons and visited the fishmongers. They spoke to a lovely man about all of the fish that he was selling and brought back to school some sardines for their friends to have a look at.

Today the children have been holding, feeling and studying the fish. They identified key parts of the fish such as mouth, gills, fins, scales, and tail. They also had the opportunity to look inside the fish and identify the spine.

All of the children braved holding the fish in their hands.

They were really fascinated by the fish and had a wonderful time.
