This week, to celebrate World Book Day, P6 children wrote personalised stories for the children in Pre School, Reception and P1.
It started with pupils from Primary 6 visiting the younger children to ask about what stories they enjoyed. Children in Pre School, Reception and Primary 1 told them what they like and what they would enjoy reading.
Primary 6 then spent time planning and writing stories created especially for individual children. Then, they typed up the stories and drew front covers to illustrate the fantastic tales.
On Friday, Primary 6 children brought their finished books to read to the younger children before presenting them as gifts to take home. We had fun creating fabulous stories filled with space rockets, witches, unicorns, lions, superheroes and a bit of football too!
