St. Dominic's came away with two County Champions, one runner up and two fourth places after competing last week in the Staffordshire Schools Individual Table Tennis Championships held at Clayton Academy.

There were two round robin sections in the U13 girl's competition. St. Dominic's had three girls qualify for the semi finals. In the end, Caitlyn beat Holly in the final to finish as Staffordshire County Individual Champion and qualify for the All England National Schools Championships at Aldersley Stadium in April.

An excellent result also as the runner up for Holly who has made great improvements to her game. Kristen took the third place play-off.

In the U11 girls, there were also two round robin sections. Sissy added to her recent gold medal haul by comfortably beating a pupil from Newcastle-U-Lyme School in the final to take the Staffordshire title and join Caitlyn to compete at the National Schools Championships. Marcie took fourth place in the bronze play-off.

In the boy's event, Joe W progressed through the group sections and quarter finals to reach the semi finals where he was narrowly beaten by the eventual winner. In the third place play-off, Joe lost a tight match in the fifth set 14-12. Joe has every chance of claiming this title next year if he continues with his current progress.
