Congratulations on becoming County Champions to Lucy Hadley, Ava Stacey, Eleanor Dimbleby and Miren Stacey.
The trampoline team had qualified for the prestigious Staffordshire School Games at Keele University in winning the Stafford & Stone Partnership Competition.
They were competing in the beginners category against the other six area finalists from across Staffordshire. They all had to perform a compulsory routine followed by their chosen voluntary routine, in front of a panel of experienced judges.
The competition was closely fought and the pressure was on Lucy, who had the most experience, to pull out an outstanding performance to put them in medal contention.
As the tension rose, the results were out - St. Dominic's were crowned the overall champions!
Lucy also added to the medal tally by taking the individual gold medal.
All the team were presented with their trophy and gold medals on stage by sports stars, Sam Quek (Rio 2016 Olympic Hockey Gold Medalist) and Ian Marsden (Rio 2016 Bronze Medalist Paracanoe) in front of a packed crowd.
