Retreats

Each year students attend our local retreat centre in Alton.

Students in Year 6 and 7 spend a day on retreat at the start of the school year. The day includes fun team-building activities as well as opportunities for reflection and prayer in this truly idyllic setting.

Students in Year 9 and 10 take part in a residential retreat in the Spring term in Alton's newly refurbished sister house; Soli House.

We believe this is a vital part of the education of our young people; allowing them to take time out from the pressures of academic life, contemplate, build friendships (without technology) and to focus on their spiritual well being.

School Update

St. Dominic’s Priory School is currently open for all children in Pre-school, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 in addition to children of key workers across all years.

For those children who remain at home, the full curriculum is being taught daily by teachers via Microsoft Teams. Children can communicate with teachers and friends during lesson time and can download and submit their work online helping them to continue to be motivated and remain focused.

We have been conducting virtual tours, meetings and online lesson experiences for parents and children considering St. Dominic’s Priory School for their children and have places available across a number of year groups for September 2020.

We have received an unprecedented number of admissions in Year 9 for September 2020 and as a result have added an additional form class to accommodate. As a result we now have places available for Year 9 from September 2020.
