Our school is an independent Catholic school in Stone, Staffordshire, welcoming pupils of all faiths and backgrounds. We offer education for girls and boys from 3 months to 16 years. From September 2016 boys have been accepted into our Senior School.
Our Day Nursery is open all year round and accommodates the varied needs of local parents, by offering a selection of nursery packages including 38 and 51 week sessions.
We are proud of our strong academic tradition alongside our reputation for nurturing individuals; we believe that there is something for every child at St. Dominic’s Priory School.
We are located in the beautiful market town of Stone in Staffordshire and we are served by excellent transport links. School transport picks up from a variety of locations and Stone Station (on the main line from Stoke to Stafford) is 5 minutes walk from our school site.
St. Dominic’s is a secure and happy place to learn. We are proud of our reputation for high academic achievement, exemplary behaviour and creativity in the curriculum. We value individuals and our small classes create an environment in which potential can be fully realised, because each child is known, cared for and encouraged to be the best that they can be.
A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered as well as after school care, homework support and a Holiday Club, which runs throughout the year and caters for our pupils but also children from the local, wider community.
The cultural life of the school is rich and varied; students are encouraged to involve themselves in various activities and experiences. We offer varied opportunities for sport; students participate in netball, rounders, cricket, tennis, sailing, cross-county and athletics. Regularly, the teams achieve County, Regional and even National success.
Assisted places and academic, art, music and sports scholarships are available and reflect our commitment to widening access to our school to as many families as possible. We work hard to promote an inclusive atmosphere where all students are valued as individuals, for us traditional values matter and it is only when walking through our school that you can truly appreciate what is so special about us.
Students can apply to join us at any point during the academic year and taster days can be arranged at your convenience.
"Every journey has a beginning and we look forward to welcoming you to visit our school and to experience for yourself what St. Dominic’s can offer your family."
